Your files stay yours. WIRE stores your notes as plain files in a folder on your Mac, giving you control over your information and how it is organised.

- Your prepared notes, ready when you need them. Browse your files by category with a single keystroke. Use a simple list (one note per line) or a table (a key and its value), in a TXT, RTF, CSV or TSV file exported from any spreadsheet or word processor. Free.
- Intelligence
- AI assistance powered by your library and the context of the moment. WIRE listens to conversations or reads your screen, then finds relevant information in your files or generates a concise response based on your background notes and recent conversation. You can also ask it to explain what is on your screen. Available through credits or your own API key.

- Your licence code is sent by email. Enter it in WIRE under Settings, General. No separate AI account is required.

- What leaves my Mac?
- Your notes, transcripts and settings stay on your Mac. When you request an AI response, WIRE sends the relevant text through our server to Anthropic and returns the result. We store credit-usage counts, not your content. If you use your own API key, requests go directly from your Mac to Anthropic. Privacy details
- Which permissions does WIRE need?
- WIRE requests access to screen recording, system audio, the microphone and speech recognition as needed for the features you use. All features are off by default.
